SVOP

SMALL VESSEL OPERATOR PROFICIENCY (SVOP)

Minimum 26 hour course, taught over 4 days, usually Tuesday to Friday following the MED A3 course.

Due to COVID 19, we are not conducting face to face classes.

We wish to keep our students and ourselves safe.
We are in discussion with Transport Canada to obtain authorization to conduct this course online.

Transport Canada approved SVOP is required for most small commercial vessels (November 2009). 

The Small Vessel Operator Proficiency (SVOP) course has been designed to instruct owners and operators of small Non-Pleasure vessels on the proper safety and operating procedures as required by Canadian law.

This course meets the requirements of a stand-alone course that addresses the particular need for minimum training of operators of commercial vessels, other than tugs and fishing vessels,
