Last weekend I attended an Open House at the New Marine Centre located in the Sidney Pier Hotel & Spa. The Centre is situated on the ground floor of the Hotel with a great waterfront view. The Centre is empty at this time, however we were treated to a tour by Gabrielle Morris, Design Coordinator who shared the plans for the new facility. It will be an amazing facility with an educational focus, “Learn to Love Your Ocean” and will operate as an educational centre and aquarium. One display will show the life under the Pier with the water level in the display synchronized with the actual tide.
Looking forward to the opening in spring 2009.
